Synopsis On Christmas Eve, 1983, a single mother scours Philadelphia looking for redemption in the strangest of places: a Cabbage Patch Kid. Rhonda’s journey starts with her daft neighbor Ryan and takes her through every type of person and place, ending with her angelic daughter Melanie. If Rhonda can find a Cabbage Patch Kid and overcome the hysteria of a soccer mom, a spiritual crisis in a highway church, and a fistfight with a children’s toy, she may find the answer to her loneliness and the hope that eludes her. “Patching Cabbage” is a dark comedy starring Amanda Detmer, Lance Barber and Stephanie Patton. The film is Written and Directed by Peter Rhoads, and Produced by Susanna Brisk. Cinematographer Jonathan Brown lensed the film. |
